Technician Training Program
Best-in-Class Technician Training Programs
Welcome to the Chuck Schaum Training Center- the most advanced training facility for technicians in the automatic door industry. Located in Mt. Comfort, Indiana, this state-of-the-art facility provides hands-on, individualized new-hire training and AAADM certification courses to our technicians.
When you join STANLEY Access Technologies as a technician, you will receive expert training and in-field support to ensure you are prepared to safely and confidently service or install automatic doors.
Here is where our expert instructors provide hands-on and classroom learning to technicians on how to safely install and service doors while providing world-class customer service. With a 1:1 product to student ratio, we understand the importance of individualized instruction and limit our class sizes to a 5:1 student to instructor ratio.
AAADM Certification Training
AAADM certified technicians are trained on the ANSI standards A156.10/19/38; industry standards for safe and reliable operation of automatic doors. Having an AAADM certified technician install or service your automatic door will give you the peace of mind that your door is operating in the safest and most efficient manner.
Following 6 months of employment, all STANLEY technicians are certified by AAADM to diagnose and fix any manufacturers’ door with utmost professionalism. Comprehensive training and field support ensures our customers receive the highest level of service.
New Hire Training
Within the first 4 months of employment, STANLEY technicians attend a 3 1/2 day hands-on factory training course covering STANLEY automatic sliding and swinging door products as well as i.e. sensors, locks, strikes etc. This includes both the correct installation of new products as well as troubleshooting a malfunctioning product.
Our team of in-house trainers consist of 7 automatic door experts from around the U.S and Canada. The focus of the new-hire training is to provide technicians with the knowledge and skills they need to do their best work out in the field.
