Platform Screen Doors
PLATFORM SCREEN DOORS

Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) are automatic, full height doors that prevent passenger access to the tracks when the train is not in the station. Typically the doors align with train doors and slide open to allow movement onto and off of the train.

  • Platform Screen Doors typically include Sliding Panels, Egress Doors and/or Fixed Panels, Threshold Track, Header Track, Drive Mechanism, Transom and Local Control Panel.
  • Patented Solenoid Lock monitored for "Closed and Locked" status, cannot engage unless both door panels are fully closed.
  • Patented Sliding Panel Emergency Release allows both unlock and open in single motion in the natural sliding direction of door. Uniquely installed on both leading and trailing edge.
  • Glass-stop design protects against unauthorized removal of glazing.
  • STANLEY exclusive Integrated Header Cable Duct Extrusion functions as I-beam (load bearing) and cable duct for PSD-ATC and ancillary device (ex dynamic sign) wire routing.
Emergency Egress Doors
EMERGENCY EGRESS DOORS

The Emergency Egress Door (EED) is a manual swing door which swings open into the platform to provide emergency egress from the train in the event that a train fails to properly align with the PSD. Each EED has 2-point positive latching which is monitored for safety interlocking with the ATC. The EED will automatically return to the closed & latched position after opening by virtue of a concealed hydraulic closer.

Emergency Egress Doors are panic device equipped, self closing, fully monitored doors that allow safe exit during emergency. Platform side key-lock access for authorized personnel. 2-Point latching system which is monitored for positive "Closed and Locked" status. Recessed EED Release Handle design eliminates center mullion, enabling a full glass panel and maximizes CDO.

PLATFORM SCREEN GATES

Platform Screen Gates (PSGs) are automatic, partial height doors that limit passenger access to the tracks when the train is not in the station. Typically the gates align with train doors and slide open to allow movement onto and off of the train. 

Platform Screen Gates have 5ft/1.5M high, platform mounted gates. Includes manual train side emergency release for passengers and platform side key access for technicians. Motors for each gate controlled by a single microprocessor controller. Communicates via bluetooth with PTU and with SMS via serial line.
